Monica J. Griffith

Monica Griffith, life coach

Welcome to the Guiding Light Coaching website! I have a lot of information to share with you and would love to show you around the site!

Please, allow me to introduce myself – I am Coach Monica. While I don’t want this to read like a resumé, I do think it is important to for you to have an understanding of what I bring as your Life and Leadership Coach.

I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation, (ICF). So, what does that mean for you? The coaching profession is not (yet) a licensed profession – such as a doctor or therapist; therefore, many people who are not trained or certified may call themselves ‘coach’. Those of us certified with the ICF have gone through extensive training and accrued hours of coaching and meet the ethical standards of the ICF. My training was held at The Academy for Coaching Excellence, Sacramento, CA. With my PCC designation, I have accumulated over 800 hours of coaching.

I contributed over 30 years in the corporate world – leading many teams in several states. One of my favorite sayings is: “I must hurry for there they go and I am their leader!” The incredible supervisors and staff working with me were continually encouraged to challenge the status-quo, to find new and improved ways to drive results, to create self-directed work teams and to build engagement. They took me at my word and together we were able to rise to new heights. My organization became one of the highest engaged (according to the Gallup Engagement Survey) groups in our organization; we continually demonstrated outstanding results in production, quality and customer service.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have been published as a contributing author in the book: Discover Your Inner Strength, as well as several short story and learning articles. Another area from which I have been very fortunate is to facilitate small group discussions, book-study workshops, webinars and skill-building seminars.

Just to share a few more interesting notes about me: I earned a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership and Certificate in Human Resources from Chapman University, Sacramento. I am a Lifetime member of  Cambridge ‘Who’s Who’.

I delight in supporting my clients through interactive conversation generating shifts in consciousness, empowering the client to make positive life changes. My clients have the opportunity to develop skills and experience practical tools that can be immediately implemented to bring clarity, focus, ease and grace to move individuals and teams forward in achieving their goals.

I invite you to browse around my website and would be thrilled to hear from you!

All the best!
